Can I use a picture of my ID as my identification? No. We require a physical state/ government/ school/ work ID. ID’s must contain a picture and include your full name.

What if I don’t have an ID? You can contact your employer or an administrator who sent you to test and they can either physically come in to identify you or send us a picture of you with your full name listed.

Why can’t I bring in my kids with me for my test? A&D Tests, Inc. only allows the testing individual in the facility due to privacy and in the case where bizarre things may occur. This also means that we do not allow donors from bringing even another adult to accompany them. Our offices services a wide range of clients and want to keep everyone safe.

Do you accept cash for payment? Yes, but it must be exact change.

Do you accept insurance? No. We are a private business that requires payment from the employer or the testing individual.

My fingerprinting/ DNA appointment is at x-time, can I come in early and/ or late? Yes, you can come in early for any appointment as we are a walk-in based facility. An employer or agency can send the authorization form to us or send it with the testing individual. This rule does not apply if you are coming in as an individual who is testing for personal use and is paying for their own test.

My employer sent me to the Waco office for my drug test, can I test at the Temple office? Yes, clients can test at any of our offices, but you must ensure the collection site or yourself has an authorization from the employer/ agency.

What’s the latest time I can come in? Clients can test any time before closing – however, there are employers/ agencies that have a cut-off time. For example: Certain clients must be signed in two hours before closing. Please check with your employer/administrator for these cut-off times.

Drug Testing

What’s the difference between a rapid screen and a lab-based test? Rapid screen urine tests provide instant test results which are seen as presumptive results. Lab-based tests require the specimen be sent off to a laboratory for testing. Laboratories use the immunoassay method when testing the initial urine test and then uses the gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) method for the confirmation testing.

What drugs am I being tested for?

We offer many other test panels and combinations, but our most commonly requested panels are a 5 and 10 panel.

A standard 5-panel tests for the following drugs: marijuana (THC), opiates(OPI), cocaine (COC), amphetamines(AMP/METH), phencyclidine (PCP.)

A standard 10-panel test for the following drugs: marijuana (THC), opiates (OPI), cocaine (COC, amphetamines (AMP/METH), phencyclidine (PCP), benzodiazepines (BZO), barbiturates (BAR), methadone (MTD), propoxyphene (PPX), methaqualone (MTQ).

What if I’m not ready to go to the restroom yet? That’s okay. We will initiate the test by having you make an attempt, and if you cannot provide enough, we will put you on a Shy Bladder Log.

What’s a Shy Bladder Log? Depending on the employer/administrator you will have 2 or 3 hours to provide a sufficient specimen. During that time we will give you up to 40 oz. of water. During this time you will not be allowed to leave the facility.

Why am I being observed? Certain tests require observation. This is when a same-sex collector is in the bathroom with the donor to ensure the validity of the specimen provided. All DOT return-to-duty and follow-up tests will be observed. Employers/Agencies may require the test be observed, which will be indicated on the authorization form. Futhermore, if a collector finds items intended to adulterate the test, notices suspicious behavior, or is provided a temp-out-range specimen, then the test will become an observed collection to ensure the integrity of the test.

What if I’m taking prescribed medications? How will that effect my test results? Medications may cause a false positive test result. After laboratory confirmation there are MRO services that may be used to determine a true result. A Medical Review Officer (MRO) is a licensed and certified doctor who will review your test results and contact you to provide a list of prescriptions and then rule out a false positive. Only an MRO can change the status of drug test lab results.

Is urine the only specimen acceptable for a federal drug test? No. As of June 1, 2023 the final ruling includes oral fluid testing as a testing procedure.

Do you offer federal oral fluid testing? No. At this time there are no labs certified by HHS for federal oral fluid testing nor is there a device approved. However, once those are decided and we receive supplies, A&D Tests, Inc. will be offering federal oral testing.

Will using hemp/CBD/ delta-8 products cause me to come up positive for Marijuana? There is a possibility. The Farm Bill states products must not be greater than 0.3 on a dry weight basis. Products are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. CBD is chemically distinguishable from THC and will not cause a positive drug test result under the current drug testing panel but is a Schedule I drug. However, CBD products may contain other cannabinoids such as THC, therefore, use of CBD oils and marijuana-derived products may result in a positive urine drug test for THCA. Here are more details by SAMHSA.
